About the Green World Center

The Green World Center is a nonprofit organization, whose projects in research, writing, and media production, are undertaken in the public interest, with a principal focus on peace education and environmental civics.

The Center also hosts a residential program, a Study and Sabbatical Retreat, for students, teachers, scholars, and artists.

The Center's projects to date have all been directed by Dr. Walter Miale.

The Green World Center is located in the woods, a ten-minute walk from the top of a mountain ridge in the Appalachians (known in the United States as the Green Mountains), five miles from Sutton, a small resort town in the province of Quebec, Canada, to which people come in the summer to hike and in the winter to ski.. The Center is about eight miles from the Vermont border.

The large house in which the Center is located serves as the residence of the Center's director, as well as office, studio, library, music library, and residential quarters for students.

In the United States, our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt sponsor is Green Valley Media in Burlington, Vermont.
