Walter Miale, who is 64, has been the director of the Green World Center since
he founded it in 1987 as the nonprofit aegis under which he has undertaken
the projects listed on the Home Page.
He is the author of The Odds Against Having Been Born - First Chapters of Nineteen Novels and Other Writings, and, with Diana Miale, of The Tempest - A Wilderness Ballet, A portfolio of photographs (1993)
He received a Ph.D. in peace studies in 1982 from Union Institute, where he studied with two of America's foremost experts in nuclear arms control and with Margaret Mead. He has an M.A. in film (1971) from UCLA, and a B.A. in philosophy (1964) from the University of Chicago.
Walter is a citizen of the United States and Canada.
